Ban on Vaping Will Affect Many Lives

One of the greatest achievements in the development of e-cigarettes is giving smokers a chance to quit smoking cigarettes. Though some will say vaping is like smoking, it is not smoking. Most e-cigarettes do contain nicotine, which is an addicting ingredient found in cigarettes. However vaping provides users a safer alternative to smoking, which contains much lesser toxic chemicals than a tobacco cigarette. Anything that burns will cause more toxic chemicals to be released, in which cause more harm to the body, so to say vaping is smoking is false because the difference is smoke versus vapor.
Unfortunately many countries in the world have banned this lifesaving product when it could be helping thousands of smokers quit each day. Countries like Thailand, Indonesia, Singapore, Argentina, United Arab Emirates, and others have completely ban e-cigarettes making it illegal to sell and purchase electronic cigarettes.
This ban does not only hurt consumers and smokers, but it restricts the option on how adults choose to quit smoking. If smoking tobacco is permitted, why isn’t vaping permitted? It is not surprising since these countries are limited to many rights and innovation compared to Western countries.
When establishing e-cigarettes on current research, we do in fact know that e-cigarettes are less harmful than tobacco cigarettes. Not stating that vaping is safe, but toxins are greatly reduced with no tar clogging up the lungs that come from tobacco. But sometimes, a new idea can scare some people because of ignorance.
Smokers know how challenging it can be to quit smoking, but know the most important motive to quit is because of the many health issues that come with smoking. While there are different types of smoking cessations available such as nicotine patch and gum, e-cigarette creates an easier way of quitting cigarettes since users still achieve the same habit of inhaling and exhaling out smoke (vapor) by holding a cigarette type shape device.
It is unfortunate countries are banning vaping, while tobacco is freely disturbed in the world. Why would the government try to interfere with a safer way to obtain nicotine? We live in a time where innovation is the key to providing citizens a safer and easier way to do things, and one of these things is e-cigarettes.
Banning vape products does not help users quit smoking, but furthermore, increases the pockets of big tobacco companies. It is logical the authorities do not want kids addicted to nicotine, but when cigarettes are already legal, vaping should be legal no matter what because it is based on the same concept with fewer health risks.
Smokers from banned e-cig countries are being penalized from these restrictions for those who justly want to vacate smoking. Over 5 millions of lives are ended each year from tobacco usage. What can be worse than the death of millions each year worldwide than allowing a safer nicotine delivery system to be used?
A ban in the United States will greatly impact the lives of former smokers, but of course, this probably won’t happen because the United Statse is supposedly the “free world”. But the FDA has placed strict restrictions on vaping, which already has plans on banning the majority of vape products unless going through a costly process. While the majority do agree that some type of regulation is needed, but limiting innovation and banning products will affect many former smokers.
The states account for over 400,000 death each year from tobacco usage. So if the government wants to keep cigarettes legal, but prevent fewer deaths, then e-cigarettes can be an immense solution. Less regulation and less taxing as possible will give more reasons for smokers to lay off the tobacco and in choosing the best type of e-cigarettes.
Vaping is the future and it should stay as the future as people find even more ways to getting nicotine in a safer way. Just like how technologies are progressing humans to safer standards on appliances, drugs, vehicles, foods, etc., vaping should be filled in with this advancement as it is proven to be a sounder way to acquire nicotine without giving up the habit, which is the hardest process for most smokers.
