Smok Knight 80W TC Review

onPresenting the Smoktech Knight Kit designed and made by Smok, which features the Kooper Mini 2 and the Helmet Sub Ohm tank. The bundle kit is the perfect match for each other, with its high-quality build and great vape production. Available in 4 colors of black, orange, stainless steel, and white, the Knight is a stunningly designed device with its medieval style inscription. Smoktech does what it does best by creating exquisite box mods.
Kooper Mini 2
The Kooper Mini 2 also known as the Knight is constructed with zinc alloy. The Mini 2 will accept one single 18650 battery using a sliding battery door, which would need to be slid down in order pull out. The cover uses magnetic plates to secure the cover into place. Using gold-plated battery contacts, it ensures the battery is making good conductivity. The battery ventilation is minimal with 2 small vent holes at the bottom of the device.
The Kooper Mini 2 measures at a height of 81.5mm with a width of 24.5mm and length of 43mm weighing around 159.5g. Very compact in size, the Kooper is comfortable to clutch and carry around. The design includes engrave logo of a mythological dragon typically usually found on weapons and clothing on medieval knights, a reason why Smok called this the Knight. The black, orange, and white comes with a matte finish while the stainless steel has a glossy finish.
The screen on the Kooper Knight measures at 25mm by 8.5mm with bright OLED display. Great in dark or bright lighting, the 0.91inch screen is very easy to read. The screen displays the current wattage/temperature, the atomizer resistance, the voltage, and battery life.
The adjustment and fire buttons on the mod are sturdy in place without any button rattle. The firing button is pretty big in size, which makes it easier to locate the firing button. The micro USB port is right beneath the adjustment buttons, allowing you to charge the device and upgrade to the latest firmware.
The Knight mod features variable wattage and temperature control powering up to 80W, supporting Nickel, Titanium, and Stainless Steel coils in temperature control mode. The temperature range is between 200°F to 600°F. It also comes with adjustable initial resistance and adjustable temperature coefficient resistance for more precise control of vaping production.
The Kooper Mini 2 supports resistance as low as 0.1Ω in variable wattage mode, and as low as 0.06Ω in temperature control mode. So with this, the Kooper is likely to work with most tanks in the market.
Helmet Atomizer
If you thought the Knight box mod was small, the Helmet tank makes the set up even smaller with its tiny size body. When combining the Kooper Mini 2 with the Helmet Atomizer, the vape mod set up is the perfect miniature vaporizer. The Helmet features a Spartan Helmet engraved on the tank to match with the Kooper for its Knightly appearance.
The tank’s e-liquid capacity is pretty small, accommodating only 2ml of e-liquid. While the capacity is limited, it is a reason for the tank to be small in appearance. The Helmet features a child proof design to avoid children from opening up the tank. It uses a medicine bottle design which requires you to push down on the top part of the tank and twisting it to open up the tank.
The Helmet is made of stainless steel material. The glass tube uses medical glass to ensure high-temperature resistance. The tube of the Helmet is U-shaped to prevent any leaking where the tube is enclosed. With this, the coil is attached to the top part of the atomizer. The Helmet uses a top filling for a quick and easier fill. The tank also has a top adjustable airflow system, which allows a big draw. The airflow slot is hidden so you would need to test it out by rotating the top part of the tank and see what airflow preference you prefer.
Final Thoughts
Based on aesthetics and performance, the Knight Kit is a great vape mod with its compact size and excellent flavor. The device is well-built with more than enough power for great vape production. It is leak proof, which is a big impact not having to worry about leaks. The 0.91inch OLED screen is easy to read in any type of lighting.
The Knight is well worth the price for a starter kit. The kit is great for beginners and veteran users with its sub ohm power, temperature control, and medieval design.
